Hanging with Hayley, Again

We made home made wasp traps using empty Powerade bottles. We cut off the top, turned it upside down and taped the top to the bottom. We used sugar-water syrup as bait and poured it in the bottle. Then, we smeared petroleum jelly on the inside of the trap (formally the inside of the top of the bottle.) The petroleum jelly causes the wasps and bees to slide into the trap. We got a hole punch and punched 2 holes to hang the trap.

Hopefully we will get the bees and wasps off of the patio. Hopefully they will be stuck in the syrup.
